Panellists Include

Professor Paul Pickering, History, RSHA
Moderated By
Dr Debjani Ganguly
In 2009, Professor Chandler edited a special issue of Critical Inquiry entitled ‘The Fate of Disciplines’. In a series of illuminating essays, this volume addresses the role of intellectuals, institutions and professional bodies in moderating disciplinary shifts in the humanities in recent years. This roundtable is an opportunity to talk to Professor Chandler about the significance of his work on rethinking disciplines especially in our current context here at ANU where we have undergone radical disciplinary restructuring these last five years. Two ANU colleagues from the disciplines of philosophy and history will join him in conversation and reflect on shifts in their own disciplines both institutionally and globally. The CI special issue is available online through our library to all ANU staff and students. It is published as Vol 35, No.4, Summer, Critical Inquiry.
